ABOUT THE WORK
‘My Blues’ 20x24in acry;ic painting on canvas.
This piece was started in 2021 with the intentions of being a self portrait, but I never found the inspiration to finish it. In 2024, honoring the Exhibition ‘Reclaiming & Renaming‘ I decided to rework this piece that sat unfinished, and turn it into something that aligned with my current art style. This was my first attempt at displaying the connectedness between my conceptual Blue World and its’ Blue People with my personal identity.

My Blues has had the honor of gracing the walls of two independent galleries in 2024. Making it’s debut at Public Not Private Gallery in Providence RI for their Reclaiming & Renaming exhibition in honor of Women’s History Month, and closing out the year at Enso Gallery in Brockton MA for their New Seasons Group Exhibition.
